FuneralNet has developed a world-class data center to provide the most
reliable, powerful and convenient Internet services possible.
Heres what makes FuneralNets Data Center world-class:
Industry Specific Facility
FuneralNets data center is dedicated to providing
the death care industry with unmatched performance, reliability and
convenience.
Security
Our secure data center is accessible by authorized
personnel only. Access to the data center requires approval of
FuneralNets Chief Technology Officer. After-hours security includes
the latest in security systems.
Room for Growth
Our data center contains enough additional space for
Web site, e-commerce, and e-mail servers to satisfy the hosting needs
of every company in the death care industry.
Conditioned Power
All of our equipment receives conditioned power to
protect from damaging voltage spikes, brown-outs, and electromagnetic
noise. Even during damaging storms, our servers receive a steady, clean
source of power. A backup power supply will automatically provide
emergency power in the event of a total power outage.
Fire Suppression System
Our state-of-the-art fire protection system includes
water sprinklers throughout the building. Concrete floor and ceiling
further protect our data center in the event of a fire.
Cooling System
Web site, e-mail, and e-commerce servers generate
quite a bit of heat, which is why we have air conditioning units. Cool
temperatures allow our servers to operate at peak efficiency with
enhanced reliability.
High Speed Connectivity
Multiple Internet connections over copper and fiber optic cable provide the bandwidth
connectivity for the Data Center. These connections reach the
Internet through different tier one Internet backbone companies using ISP class Cisco routers running BGP4 protocol, ensuring
the Data Center is never without service.
Powerful Servers
All customer Web sites are hosted on multi-processor
servers for unmatched speed and reliability. Each server is loaded with
1028 to 2048 MB of RAM, fast hard drives and networked together with the
latest Ethernet switches.
Back-up Systems
All customer data is backed up on our archival storage
system. In the event of a hard drive crash, we can install a new hard
drive from our reserve supply while the server is still powered and
running and restore the drive content from the tape backup.
FuneralNet makes this technology available to the death care industry so
companies do not have to expend resources on these highly specialized
services.
